Subway Car Wash was constructed in the early 1980's as a four bay self serve car wash. The wash gets it's name "Subway" after the railroad bridge located across the intersection, as that bridge was referred to by the townspeople as the subway bridge for many years.
About
Early Years
The car wash displayed the red, white, and blue colors for many years from it's original construction in the early 1980's through 2015.
New Colors
Along with new colors to the wash came several other updates. A new bill changer was installed for more reliable service. New foaming brush system was installed in the mechanical room as well as rebuilding the tire clean and presoak systems for more consistent product delivery.
2022
In late 2021 renovations began to transform the 4 bay self serve facility to have a touchless automatic bay. In order to have a large enough mechanical room and wash bay to house the touchless equipment the first wash bay and garage area were renovated. The original building that had been on the property since sometime around the 1950's was removed to make way for the new vacuum and service island as well as the drive thru lane.
